Tencel twill is a fabric woven in a weave that creates oblique lines. Tencel is an artificial fiber made from wood pulp but unlike viscose, the transformation process is non-toxic and non-polluting.

What is Tencel ?

Tencel is a fabric made from wood pulp (mainly eucalyptus).
Unlike viscose and other artificial fibers such as bamboo, tencel fiber is manufactured through anon-toxic process using a 99% reusable and biodegradable solvent.

What are the properties of Tencel?

Tencel is a breathable fabric, offers a silky effect and is almost wrinkle-free.

Is tencel an organic fabric?

Tencel is not a natural fiber and therefore does not fall into the category of organic fibers and cannot be organique certified. However, our Tencel twill fabrics areOeko-Tex Standard 100 certified and are therefore safe for human health.

What to sew with Tencel ?

Fluid, soft and non-stretchable, Tencel twill is ideal for clothing: skirts, dresses, blouses, pants and even shirts, but also accessories such as bags, headbands and stoles.

How to sew Tencel?

It is not difficult to sew Tencel. This non-stretch fabric can be sewn with astandard needle that can be adapted according to the thickness of the fabric.

How do I wash Tencel?

For a better hold of your Tencel twill over time, wash it by hand or in the washing machine at 30°C on a delicate program with low spinning. Dry it flat and do not put it in the dryer.
